Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Megan has worked in various fields as an Occupational Therapist, such as: chronic pain management; infant, child, and youth mental health; occupational rehabilitation; and sensory rehabilitation following stroke. Megan has always been interested in psychosocial care, particularly with children, adolescents and young adults. Megan completed a bachelor double degree in Occupational Therapy (Hons) and Behavioural Science in 2006. Since then, Megan has performed clinical roles in public tertiary health services and research settings. In 2018, Megan was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Occupational Therapy for her research into sensory rehabilitation following stroke.
Megan's work as an Occupational Therapist focuses on tailored, evidence-based therapeutic services for those children, adolescent and young adult clients with an activity or participation-related issue(s) (e.g. handwriting problems, play skill concerns) and mental health concern(s) (e.g. anxiety, lowered mood and stress). Megan is empathetic, non-judgmental, and thoughtful in her interactions with others.
Megan is presently pursuing private clinical work, alongside her research career in public health. Megan is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. She loves spending time with her family and two children, dance, baking, and reading very often.eading very often.
